What major need to be an Infectious Disease Doctor?
I'm a sophomore in high school and we just declared or major a few weeks ago. well i was doing research on different university's when i saw none of them offered the major Emergence Medical Services(the major i was told that would best prepare me to be an infectious disease doctor) so I'm starting to wonder if i declared the wrong major. So if you know please help me. I would also like to know what additional schooling i need to have to be an infectious disease doctor
You will need Biology, Biology 2, Anatomy and Physiology 1 and 2, Microbiology, Chemistry, and the other courses such as Humanities or Speech, Math courses, etc. It all depends on what college you want to go to. Get a catalog on the courses you will need to take at a 4 year college before you get into med school. Also get a catalog or go online to the medical school of your choice to see what they require.
